Some myths and facts:
Triple
stitching does NOT make your bags stronger. Realistically, if you know
what you are doing, double stitching is plenty. Think about this: Your
car only has two brakes - the standard brake pedal and the emergency
brake. Practice makes perfect and any experienced bag maker knows the
special secret to creating a long lasting durable bag.
Have
you ever purchased a pair of jeans made on a home sewing machine? The
answer is most likely NO. I'm pretty sure that Levi Strauss, Guess, Gap
and many others use an industrial machine because they can create a
durable seam. Which is why
I use an industrial sewing machine. However, don't be fooled, the use
of industrial sewing machines does not necessarily make a bag better,
the operator does by knowing what they are doing.
Using high quality thread is also a major cost in making cornhole bags
and we don't short change you. Once you see our bags, you will agree!
Is
there a difference between duck 'cloth' and CANVAS? YES, there is!
Canvas is much more durable and a more superior product. Some bag
sellers will tell you that high quality canvas can not be purchased in
certain colors. This is absolutely NOT TRUE; they say this because they
can't find those colors anywhere except the cheap duck 'cloth' that
Wal-mart sells.
Another
thing to consider when purchasing corn hole bags is that making them is
hard work and requires long hours. Some people jump into making them
thinking that it's easy work. It's NOT. When they figure this out, then
quit making them. You can feel safe knowing that I've been making corn
hole bags for 6 years with more than 35 years of sewing experience,
overall, and will be here next year and the year after that!
I'm
sure you have shopped around and found that some sellers will tell you
anything they think you want to hear just to get you to buy their bags.
I won't do that; I would rather you purchase my bags based on honesty and a straight forward approach.
